Every year, members of the New Orleans theatrical community vote for the best people and productions in 29 categories.

There are two rounds of voting. In the first round, voters nominate up to 3 people and/or productions in each category. After the nominations are tallied, the second round starts and voters chose only one person / production for each category.

The votes are tallied (online and paper ballots), and the winners are announced at the annual awards ceremony.
